Due for release on July 18th, 2008. The Dark Knight. This movie is the sequel to Batman Begins, which was released in 2005.

Gotham is under the reign of chaos once again as a criminal mastermind known as the Joker arrives. After taking care of Ras’s Al Ghul, and the mysterious disappearance of the Scarecrow, Batman continues on his ware on crime in Gotham city. In the Dark Knight, the psychopath “Joker” brings forth chaos and puts Batman on his personal agenda to be taken care of. Jim Gordan and Batman join forces to try to sterilize the streets before they are overrun with chaos.

There are rumors of cameo appearances by, Catwoman, The Scarecrow, and Two-Face. There are also rumors of The Riddler making an appearance as well.

Unfortunately Heath Ledger, who plays the Joker, passed away on January 22, late that day Warner Bros. released a statement Declaring that Ledger had completed all his scenes and post-production work, thus making the Joker the actor’s final completed appearance in a film.

I look forward to this movie as I have alway been a fan of Batman, and movies about the comics I read as a child. I will be posting more about this movie as I learn about it. I will be giving my full review after seeing it this summer.

Why So Serious?

Rambo

Rambo Movie Poster

There is only one word for this movie that comes to mind. INTENSE. Stallone did an excellent job both directing the movie and starring in it. The story line was also very different from the classic Rambo movies. In the beginning of the movie John Rambo is just trying to go on about his life in Bangkok, hunting snakes and scraping old tanks. A group of Christian missionaries come to Rambo for help to get them to Burma, a place of genocide and evil. I won’t be one to spoil, this is a movie to see. Just be warned it earned it’s R rating very easily. Stallone didn’t do bad for a 61 year old man, I think him directing the movie gave it a personal touch. I also recommend seeing this in theaters the sound is incredible, something that most likely will not be replicated in a home theater. As Rambo says in the movie, “when you’re pushed, killing is easy as breathing” That can easily summarize the movie in a few short words.

My best photo of 2007

01.26.2008

This summer while in Dallas, Texas, a good friend of mine Dave Stevens and I arranged a shoot in Dallas. This Lancer Evolution caught my eye. This was an attempt to get in some good rolling shots, and I succeeded. These shots can be quite tricky and take a bit of skill. This is one of my favorite photos that I took last year. It came out well, especially in black and white. I have sold a few prints of this photo as well.
