Perhaps one day my fit will have a set of these. Looks pretty dope. Really agressive offset for the fit too.

Ambition.
January 1, 2009

I am hungry, and god knows it’s not for food. LOL!

2009 Is here, and I am in for a ride that’s for sure. In 364 days after tonight, where will you be?

Here’s a little re-cap on my last 365.

January ‘08 I met Tiffany, my wonderful girlfriend.

February ‘08 I caught the flu, that’s all that comes to mind, lol, it was a night spent in the hospital that cost me 600 bucks. Heathcare is laughable at best.

March ‘08 I bought my first and last brand new car, my Honda Fit. A mistake? No. Stupid? Yes.

April ‘08 Headed to Deals Gap for the first time, need to head back up that way soon.

May ‘08 D.G. Trials at Nashville Super Speedway. My first automotive race event that I had gotten press passes to.

June ‘08 Started to watch the Economy of the World fall apart. Witnessed the car buisness slow way down, with my previous job.  Nothing like not knowing which way the wind is blowing. I would be laid off at the end of the month.

July ‘08 Half way through the year. I would watch the fireworks with Tiffany in Mt. Juliet. By the end of the month I would move in with her in Nashville.

August ‘08 I would turn 22. And land a job at Custom Display Manufacturing. Where I currently work.

September ‘08 I shot a few cars local to the area, and would head to Bowling Green, KY for the first time in a few years. It was good to see some intense straight line action for the first time in a while.

October’08 Started laying low, and laid off the internet, lol, not sure why. Possibly due to my 42″ TV and xbox. I played alot of games for the next couple months and gained about 15 pounds in the process.

November ‘08 I would head to Dallas to see my Dad, and the rest of my family, some of who I had not seen in over a year. It was a great Thanksgiving.

And finally December ‘08 I would have a wonderful Christmas and spent some time with my Mom, and Tiffany’s family.

A few day’s ago I also learned that I would finally get a published feature with my buddy James Evins.
We shot Richie’s Honda Civic, and It will be out on news stands in the next couple weeks. Below is a preview. I would appreciate it greatly if you would pick up a copy. :)

It's all Dick

I hope everyone had a great holiday, and I wish everyone prosperity in 2009.

A few weeks ago I had the chance to meet Monty Nelson and take a few pictures of his car and watch him blast down the quarter mile. This full sheet metal car was a joy to watch, as it took off down the track, lifting the wheels off the ground as it caught traction and took off.

Dragster Wrap

Here’s a few pictures from a dragster that I wrapped this week while at work.

Not bad for a quick job. It was just a half wrap to get something on the car.

The owner of the car, Jerry, is running the car in the Nationals at ZMax raceway in Charlotte North, Carolina.

Here are some more shots from the evening races at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Lift the front wheels!

A nice Mustang with a ton of boost. This car was incredible. What really caught my eye about this particular car is that it had a vehicle wrap, something I do on my normal job. The wrap job was seamless and we soon will have many drag cars to showcase.

Here’s a car that’s not seen everyday. Not in this condition, or being used at the track it was a pristine example.

A buddy of mine had went with me to the track for the day and this is his friends car. I will be doing an article later this week on it. A ‘69 Chevrolet Chevelle with a built big-block motor.

He barely poked into 11’s for the few runs he got in before I left. Stay tuned for more. ;)

A Day at the Track.
September 7, 2008

I headed up to Beech Bend Raceway Saturday to shoot some cars, and get face to face with some of the local cars showing there skills at the track.

Here’s what I came home with.

Evo 8

SRT-8 Jeep

Evo 8

TigerBallZ SI

R35 at the Track

Mustang GT

GT500 SMASH

This was quite unfortunate. While me and my buddy went to lunch this beautiful car got turned into what you see above. From what I was told he blew a head gasket at the 1/8th mile mark and slipped in his own fluid’s at 100mph.

Ryan

After the Tennespeed guys finished up their track session. We hung around for the evening races.

'69 Chevelle

A friend of my buddy, Monty, brought up his ‘69 Chevelle. It is a full steel car with a big block under the hood. It ran 11’s and was a blast to watch.

Tigerballz EP3 Honda Civic SI
September 1, 2008

A car known to the Nashville Scene for quite some time. One of the first turbo cars I can remember seeing up close and personal a couple years back. Tiger ran the Civic with a Rev Hard Kit on the Stock K20A3 up until this summer when he felt the need for more boost.

tigercollage

Full Size here.

So the upgrades arrived and he went to work. Tiger purchased a K20A2 out of a totalled RSX Type S to massage into his built block, but soon found out that it was cracked and would have to find an alternative route. Another K20A3 was sourced, then disassemble and stuffed with Eagle Rods, Wiseco 9:1 86.5mm pistons. He then put the Type-S head to work, installing Supertech valvesprings and retainers. Before mating the block and head he freshened up the bottom end with the essentials; OEM bearings/gaskets, and mated the two parts together using ARP headstuds. Soon after the real fun began.  Tiger chose to go with a Full Race Turbo Kit, which included a T3/60-1 turbo, top mount manifold with HPC coating, Tial 44mm wastegate to keep boost under control, and a 50mm Tial blow off valve, and a huge front mount intercooler.

To feed the engine he purchased an AFI fuel rail, RC1000cc injectors, and an Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. While a Golden Eagle vacuum manifold tidies the engine bay up. To assist in delivering the pressurized air and large amounts of fuel Tiger purchased a RBC intake Manifold and Karcepts adapter. While a NGK AFX wideband keeps an eye on air to fuel ratios.

To help keep the Honda planted to the ground TigerBallZ utilized the stock SI transmission fitted with a WaveTrac limited slip differential, to make sure the power got to the ground through both wheels. Speaking of wheels he went with a new set of Buddy Club P1 SF Challenge in 17×7, for daily duty, in white to give the car a white on white theme. Bringing the SI to a stop are EBC Redstuff pads and 3GD cross drilled rotors on all four corners. He also added TechnaFit Brake and clutch lines to giv him a firm pedal.

After getting the car assembled Tiger headed to Trackmasters in Huntsville, AL to get the car tuned. After a few pulls the car put down an impressive 450hp/283ft. lbs. at 18psi. On September 6th TigerBallz will be heading to Bowling Green, KY to run the car in the 1/4 mile at Beech Bend. He is hoping for mid 11’s, best of luck. ;)
